Work from Home during Covid19 and Acidity? Thanks to Udar Arogya!
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
This old saying goes right for everyone out there; especially, for all those working from home right now. Spending long hours on laptops and phones may lead to a number of stomach disorders namely acidity, gas, indigestion, constipation. Sedentary lifestyles may seem alluring but hurt your digestion in the long run. Studies have reported that a person who sits continuously for more than 8 hours a day (especially office goers) must exercise for 30 minutes every day for overall health and well-being. Here are few steps that you can follow and keep yourself fit and fine while doing office work dedicatedly:
· Stand up and walk around in every 30 minutes. Do not sit at one place for long.
· Walk to the farthest bathroom in the office/home when going to the restroom. Slight body movements are necessary to keep yourselves fit and fine.
· Every time you want to have water, get it yourself rather than asking anyone else to get it for you.
· Office calls!! Just stand and walk around the place while taking calls instead of lying at one place.
· Take a 5-minute break with every coffee break.
· Instead of troubling your mother decorate a food platter for you on the table, get up and take it by yourselves. Do not forget to walk after taking meals. This works well to avoid bloating/heaviness in stomach.
Foods that help cure acidity:
· Fresh and seasonal fruits like apple, banana, etc. act as a buffer for acidity.
· Aloe Vera juice is a boon for healthy digestion. It works as a laxative and calms down burning sensation in the stomach.
· For dyspepsia, foods such as banana, apple, mashed potato, ice-cream are few good options you can go for.
· Rice-based meals work well for those who face acidity problems quite frequently.
· Potatoes (Boiled, not fried) are good to relieve acidity.
